Which direction is the calendar syncing?
- Airbnb listing
- Exported iCal feed
- Calbnb or calendar app
For a cleaner’s schedule, dates usually travel out of Airbnb. If you also subscribe to Calbnb in Apple or Google, that adds another step after Calbnb. A different case is an outside booking calendar being imported into Airbnb.
Use one known reservation to find the problem
| What you see | What to check next |
|---|---|
| The date is wrong in Airbnb itself | Confirm the reservation and correct listing in Airbnb first. A downstream calendar cannot correct its source. |
| Airbnb is right; every connected view is old | Check the export URL and allow for the source feed to publish the change. |
| Calbnb is right; Google or Apple is old | Check the receiving subscription and wait for its fetch. Refreshing Calbnb cannot force that app to fetch. |
| Old events stay forever and new ones never arrive | Check for an imported .ics file instead of a URL subscription. |
| Only some events are missing | Check the selected calendar, listing and booked-versus-blocked status. |
| Everything appears twice | Look for duplicate subscriptions or an imported copy alongside a subscription. |
Compare the same arrival and checkout date in each place. Use a reservation you can identify by date; you do not need to paste guest details or a private feed URL into a public troubleshooting post.
Check the link before reconnecting everything
- Return to the correct listing and copy its export link again.
- Check that the address contains the full .ics path and any query string after it.
- Make sure you did not use a listing page, a host dashboard address, or a downloaded local file.
- Check that the calendar you added is selected in the receiving app.
When a link no longer works, replace the source address in the service using it. In Calbnb, open your host link and Calendar settings to update the Airbnb link. Keep the existing calendar if you want to preserve its current cleaner link.
What does “Updated” mean in Calbnb?
Calbnb normally attempts to fetch the Airbnb feed about every 15 minutes. The update time refers to the last successful fetch. If a fetch fails, the last successful dates remain visible with an update warning. A recent timestamp means the feed was fetched; it does not prove Airbnb has already published every booking change.
Use Refresh on the calendar page to request another check. Repeated requests are limited. If the warning remains, check the source URL from the host settings and compare the booking in Airbnb.
A cancelled booking disappears after a successful fetch of a feed that no longer contains it. A subscription in another app then needs to fetch the updated Calbnb feed too.
Is the checkout day actually missing?
A stay that begins June 8 and ends June 11 covers the nights of June 8, 9 and 10. The clean belongs on June 11. Some calendar displays emphasize occupied nights, so the last shaded day and the cleaning day can differ without a sync failure.
Check the difference between bookings, blocks and checkout dates. In Calbnb, unknown or blocked events do not automatically create a cleaning task.
What should you do for a same-day change?
Confirm it directly with your cleaner while you investigate the calendar. Give the property’s local date, latest checkout, next arrival and a clear request to acknowledge the change. Waiting for a subscription refresh is not a reliable way to communicate an urgent handoff.
If you need automatic assignment, acceptance and escalations, a cleaning management app may fit better than a read-only schedule.
Share the dates. Keep it simple.
