How to add the Airbnb link

1. Get the export URL for your Airbnb listing.
2. Open Google Calendar in a computer browser and sign in to the account you use.
3. Next to Other calendars, select the plus button and choose From URL.
4. Paste the complete address and choose Add calendar.
5. Check the calendar is selected. On your phone, use the same Google account and select the calendar there too.

Google’s URL subscription instructions require the initial setup in a computer browser. The mobile Calendar app does not offer that setup flow.

Google needs to retrieve the feed without an Airbnb login. The export URL provides access; a public Airbnb listing URL or the address of your signed-in host calendar will not work. You do not need to publish your personal Google calendar.

Can you then share that calendar with your cleaner?

Do not assume a subscription becomes a calendar you own. Google’s sharing permissions apply to calendars you own or have permission to manage. Adding an external feed under Other calendars does not itself grant sharing-management rights.

The straightforward options are to have the cleaner subscribe to the source URL in their own account, or send a Calbnb cleaner link that opens in a browser. Copying events into a new Google-owned calendar creates a separate copy that will need its own update process.

How often does Google Calendar sync Airbnb?

Google chooses when it fetches an external feed. There is no refresh interval we can promise for your subscription. Opening the mobile app, refreshing a browser tab, or refreshing Calbnb does not necessarily make Google fetch the source again.

How do you add checkout reminders instead of stays?

Create your Calbnb schedule, open the cleaner link and choose Add to calendar → Google Calendar. Copy the subscription link and add it with From URL. Each identified reservation produces an all-day cleaning reminder on checkout day.

These events contain your property’s usual times, not a live guest arrival estimate. They do not create a cleaner assignment or guarantee a push notification. If a confirmed notification and acceptance are essential, consider a cleaning management app.

Three common setup mistakes

• Using Import instead of From URL: importing an .ics file makes a one-time copy.
• Adding the feed to a different Google account from the one selected on your phone.
• Expecting a subscription to send changes back to Airbnb: this connection only reads the source.

Before deleting anything, compare a known reservation in Airbnb, the subscribed calendar, and any Calbnb schedule you use. That comparison usually tells you which connection needs attention.
