What can a calendar-only co-host see or change?
| Action | Calendar-only access |
|---|---|
| View the calendar and check-in / checkout dates | Yes |
| Edit the calendar or listing | No |
| Change prices or manage reservations | No |
| Message guests | No |
| View the earnings dashboard | No |
| Communicate with the host and other co-hosts | Yes |
All co-hosts can also see other co-host contact details. Read Airbnb’s full permissions table before choosing access. Calendar access is different from Calendar and messaging access or Full access.
How to invite your cleaner
- Open Listings in Airbnb and choose the property.
- In the listing editor, open Your space → Co-hosts → Invite.
- Enter the cleaner’s email address or phone number.
- Choose Calendar access, review the invitation and send it.
- Ask the cleaner to accept using their own Airbnb account. Airbnb requires new co-hosts to complete identity verification before accepting.
After acceptance, check a known arrival and checkout together. If the cleaner cannot see the intended listing, check the invitation and permission before widening their access.
When is this enough?
It is often enough for a host and a regular cleaner who already coordinate in messages. The host remains responsible for confirming the cleaning window and unusual instructions. The cleaner can check the calendar without the host sending a fresh screenshot for every booking.
Try one real turnover before adding software. Can the cleaner find the correct property, identify the checkout, notice a same-day arrival and confirm the work? If yes, the built-in workflow may already meet your needs.
When might a browser link be simpler?
A separate link can help when a cleaner wants to open a schedule without becoming a co-host, or when the important view is a list of checkout cleans rather than a booking calendar. Calbnb provides that read-only browser view and optional cleaning-day subscriptions.
The tradeoff is that a Calbnb cleaner link grants access to whoever has it. It is not an individually authenticated Airbnb permission. Calbnb also depends on the exported feed and does not offer instant booking updates or job acceptance.

What if your cleaner changes?
Review access as part of the handoff. Remove the former cleaner’s co-host access in Airbnb when it is no longer needed. If you used Calbnb too, replace its cleaner link and send the new link to the new cleaner; changing one system does not revoke access in the other.
Also review any separate instructions or access arrangements you shared. The calendar is only one part of bringing a cleaner into the property’s workflow.
Share the dates. Keep it simple.
